Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering, Certification and Delivery

Answers to the questions we receive from shipyards, distributors and fleet technical teams. If your question is not covered here, use the AI inquiry assistant in the lower-right corner or email tony@vprimocare.com.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For catalogue items, sample quantities are accepted for quality evaluation. Production quantities are quoted per casting batch — minimums depend on item weight and moulding method. For custom items based on drawings, tooling and sample costs apply before mass production.

What is the lead time?

Production lead time is 7–15 working days after order confirmation and deposit receipt. Custom items based on your drawings include sample development and approval, and are quoted per project. The confirmed delivery date is stated in the sales contract.

Can I request a sample before ordering?

Yes. Samples of existing models can be produced for quality evaluation. Sample cost and courier freight are charged; sample cost is deducted against the first production order. For new designs, the first article is produced after drawing approval and serves as the approved sample.

What certificates and documents are supplied?

Each shipment can be accompanied by: Material Test Certificate per EN 10204 3.1 (or 3.2 with third-party survey), Certificate of Conformity, final inspection report, commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. Class certificates — CCS, DNV, ABS, LR, BV — and JIS F documentation are arranged per order specification.

What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are 30% T/T deposit before production and 70% balance against a copy of the Bill of Lading. L/C at sight is accepted for regular customers. Payment terms can be reviewed case by case for project orders.

How are the goods packed and shipped?

Export packing uses plywood cases or steel crates with moisture barrier; heat-treated timber marked to ISPM 15 is used where the destination requires it. Shipment is arranged FCL or LCL by sea from Shanghai or Zhangjiagang. FOB Shanghai, CFR and CIF are standard; DAP and DDP can be quoted on request.

Can you manufacture items to our drawings?

Yes. Send your DWG or PDF drawings with the working load, material and coating requirements. Our engineers review feasibility, propose construction details and quote accordingly. Sample approval is required before production starts. See the OEM & Custom page for the full process.

Do you supply under our own brand?

Yes. OEM branding is available: your logo can be applied by laser etching, cast-in marking or nameplate, and packaging can be printed with your artwork. Documentation can be issued in your company name where required.

What materials and coatings are used?

Cast steel ZG230-450 / ZG270-500 (GB/T 11352) for bollards, chocks and fairlead bodies; welded Q355B (Q345B) structural plate for bases and buoys; polyurethane rollers Shore A 90 ± 5; forged alloy steel for hooks and lifting parts. Standard coating is abrasive blasting to SA 2.5 plus epoxy zinc-rich primer and polyurethane topcoat, total DFT not less than 160 µm. Hot-dip galvanising is available on request.

How do I place an order?

Send an enquiry with the item list or drawings, quantity and destination port to tony@vprimocare.com. You will receive a quotation with technical details and delivery terms. After confirmation, a proforma invoice is issued; production starts on receipt of the deposit and approved artwork or drawings.

What support is provided after delivery?

Installation guidance is provided with the shipment drawings. Manufacturing defects are covered by our warranty policy — report them with photographs and inspection data, and we will arrange repair or replacement based on our technical review. Technical support remains available for future spare and replacement fittings.
